During the past seven seasons there has been no fare increase for the Inverness Reds Supporters buses, during which period there has been a significant increase in bus hire and fuel costs.

Over the past few weeks, the fuel costs have come down, however there has been a significant increase in hire  and insurance costs over the past few years and for the most part of the past year the buses have been running at a loss.

Therefore from the bus on Saturday 9 January 2016, fares will increase for the first time in 7 years, as follows:

Inverness to Aberdeen:

Pick-up PointAdult FareChild/OAP Fare
Inverness£17£15
Nairn£17£15
Forres£15£13
Elgin£13£11
Mosstodloch/Fochabers£12£10
Keith£12£10
Huntly£10£8

Inverness to Central Belt:

Pick-up PointAdult FareChild/OAP Fare
Inverness£25£23
Carrbridge/Aviemore£23£21
Kingussie/Newtonmore£23£21
Dalwhinnie/Ballinluig£21£19
Dunkeld/Perth£19£17

All prices are return fares.

The price still compares favourably with car and rail transport.  Our pricing has been developed to meet or undercut the current rail apex fare advertised by ScotRail as of December 2015 (which does not include the proposed fare increase in January 2016).

We hope you understand, but to keep the buses running we need to ensure we are covering the cost of running them.
