In not unexpected news to the Red Army, a deal for the permanent transfer of Ronald Hernandez to Atlanta Utd is expected to happen shortly.
Atlanta United vice president Carlos Bocanegra confirmed Hernandez is set to return to the MLS side this year after agreeing a deal with the Dons.
Bocanegra confirmed it was a permanent deal that was pending MLS approval, with the Dons expected the move to be given the go-ahead.
Hernandez was the Dons most expensive signing in more than 20 years. A £850,000 deal from Norwegian side Stabaek in January 2020.
He started just thee times for the Dons, with a further three appearances off the bench.
More questions centre around the deal itself. On the day he signed for Aberdeen, there was a £1m loan made to the club from a related party.
