Aberdeen FC have extended the season ticket renewal deadline from Friday 29 May to Friday 10 July 2020.
This is in repsonse to fans who may be facing uncertainty and financial challenges due to the COVID-19 crisis
In a statement on the club website, the club said: “To date, 5,200 fans have purchased 20/21 season tickets and, through AFC investors’ matched 10% donation linked to season tickets, over £130,000 has been raised for the Trust.
We are greatly encouraged by the response of the Red Army so far. More new season tickets have been sold for 20/21 than in the entire period leading up to the beginning of the 19/20 season with a few months to spare. This level of support is inspirational to everyone connected with the club against the backdrop of the current crisis.
Our early bird deadline will remain in place as Monday 1st June, along with the deadlines for our 6-month interest free and 10-month payment plans and the matched donation to AFCCT’s #StillStandingFree campaign.
As we have outlined previously, we will continue to monitor feedback from supporters, alongside what’s happening in the wider football landscape over the coming weeks, and make adjustments to deadlines, where we can, whilst balancing the need to bring vital income into the club now.
We are committed to delivering full value for supporters who sign-up for 20/21 in the event that we may not get back to playing football in front of fans until the beginning of next year.
Thanks for your continued support – together we will get through this!”

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak we quickly marshalled our forces to support the community through our #StillStandingFree campaign. Our message to our city, our region and our supporters is that we have been Standing Free since 1903 and we will be #StillStandingFree at the end of this if we all stick together!
So far AFCCT has been able to support over 5,500 people throughout the region by delivering food and supplies in conjunction with CFINE (Community Food Initiatives North-East) whilst Club and Trust staff have been bolstering the mental health of the region by calling supporters who may be most at risk of social isolation.
By purchasing your season ticket by 1st June you will not only be allowing our partner charity to carry out this vital work, you will also support:
– Mental health in the region by running a MINDSET workshop throughout schools in the city and shire to build resilience and confidence in our future generations.
– Hosting a community day in the autumn at Cormack Park for NHS staff and frontline workers who are keeping us all safe during this crisis.
