It is finally here. A Red Point of View the online Dons magazine is available for your enjoyment. It’s a brand new publication dedicated to bringing you quality Dons based content from writers within (and outwith) the fantastic Red Army.

In the first edition:

  • Ryan Crombie speaks to Darren Mackie looking back on his many years spent at Aberdeen football club. He spoke at length what the club means to himself, the fond memories he has and the stories he took from his time at the Dons.
  • “A Red Point of View” looks ahead to the new season with a new captain, Graeme Shinnie.
  • Dons enthusiast Ally Begg shares his pre-season thoughts ahead of the coming campaign.
  • We have guest writer Martin Stone on board.
  • Scott Baxter, AFC’s match day photographer puts into words what it’s like photographing the club he loves.
  • Matt Findlay from the “Burst Baw podcast” looks at former AFC youth academy starlets and where they are now.
  • Tom Mackinnon tackles the issue of colt teams and its impact on Scottish Football in our feature section “A wider point of view”.
  • We have the view from the terraces as we welcome guest fans Lewis Michie, Mark Gordon and Ewan Beattie who pen their thoughts on topics of their choice.
  • Finlay Hall (the man in red) dissects the issue of fanzines. “A relic from the past, or a vital fan’s voice?”.
