Maguire Goes On Loan To Killie

Scott Severin has been joined at Rugby Park by another former team-mate, with 21-year-old Maguire going on loan from Aberdeen for the rest of the season.

Maguire made his first-team debut for the Dons in December 2006 and has made 21 appearances this season.

However, manager Mark McGhee could allow him to leave despite having also sold fellow striker Lee Miller to Middlesbrough.

McGhee has secured former Rangers forward Steven MacLean from Plymouth on loan.

Calderwood, who this month took over at Killie after the departure of Jim Jefferies, was keen to bolster his squad after injuries to several key players for up to six weeks.

Defenders Frazer Wright and Ryan O’Leary and strikers Allan Russell and Mark Burchill are all sidelined.

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock knocked back inquiries about striker Kevin Kyle, who will remain with the club at least until his contract ends in the summer.
